A few Quilt Market Highlights

We’re back from Quilt Market it’s almost a blur, so I’m glad I got photos! This one was a partial view from above. This is just part of one side of the convention center floor! We got lots of ideas, ordered lots of fabric, books, patterns, and tools. I’m working on the online newsletter which will have more details, and there will be new items appearing in the store and online for many months to come because of our trip to Pittsburgh. (Watch for the newsletter the first week of June.)

Here are some photos of just a few of the designers with the excitement they’re bringing to our store!
I love to see Simon Haskins at the events we go to, and this time he presented Simon’s Terrific Trims, a new collection that was unbelievable! We will have it in shortly, along with Lottie’s Poppies and Robyn’s Romance, which just came in from Simon and his mom Jenny Haskins.
Angie Steveson has a new embroidered leaf collection called Autumn Wind seen here behind us in the photo. You can see Angie’s Everything Baby quilt in a previous blog post below. I love her designs!
You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to make a pineapple quilt with Karin Hellaby‘s fabulous method in her new book Sew Simple Pineapples. I’ll be demoing it at Creative Sewing Club. I took a short class from her and you could hear jaws dropping all over the room as she disclosed the steps! I’ve wanted to do one, and did a folded version years ago, but this is easier yet!
Renae Allen emailed me about her new Machine Quilting Design Builder book and CD to go with the new Design Builder Fabric. Third in her series, it joins a popular line up!

Heidi Markish brings her tole painting touch to fabric with the delightful characters in the new pattern line we picked up.

We are also so excited about the Accuquilt “Go fabric cutting machine that makes cutting quilt pieces and applique shapes a breeze! Alex Anderson introduced it in the mini-seminar I was in and she was really enthusiastic about it! If it isn’t in stock when you read this, it will be in a matter of days, and we’ll be developing all kinds of things with it! These applique quilt is just the tip of the iceberg! We’ll have all the accessories soon.

Be sure you’re signed up for our email newsletters from the website to see more about our new additions. Our next newsletter will be ready in just a week or so!

  1. I am interested in the Accuquilt "Go". My daughter wants a quilt with dragonflies… I told her we'd have to just try to find fabric with dragonflies on it, but she wants the appliques.
