Winter Friends!

Attention Machine Embroiderers!!!!!

Love looking at the snow but don’t want to get out in it? We have just the project for you and your embroidery machine! It’s called Winter Friends Tile Scene by Anita Goodesign (48610). We have made up a fabric pack for you as well – to make this project even easier! (A11716)
It stitches out faster than some of the other Anita Goodesigns tile scenes because it only has 10 tiles. When we (Becky, Diane, and Lynn in the Sewing Department) started the first block, we noticed that the blue background fabric was showing through the first cardinal – so we switched from a 90 Inspira Embroidery needle to a 75 Inspira Embroidery needle and we had no further problems. The smaller needle makes smaller holes, so it makes the background fabric less noticeable. We stabilized the background fabric by fusing fusible fleece to the back.  Another tip we have for you is only hooping the stabilizer. Then we simply laid the background fabric in the hoop and proceeded to stitch. It was as simple as pie (especially if it’s a frozen one you just have to pop in the oven)!

The background quilting is digitized right into the design, so when it’s trimmed assembled, there’s no further quilting needed. We chose to attach our backing while applying the fusible Silver Bias Tape (53452). Attach the binding and you’re done. You’ve just made yourself a beautiful wall hanging and created some wonderful new Winter Friends!
