I love this new notion! It’s called a Pinmoor (A12731)
, and there are lots of uses for it!
I first used it on my new quilt I called “Skewed Squares.” I made one for Handi Quilter Club (brights) and another for Creative Sewing Club, (black, white and red).
This quilt developed little by little as I worked on my Handi Quilter Fusion. I liked it so well that I also wanted to share it with Sewing Club people who don’t have a Handi Quilter yet. Thus my second pattern.
come in several colors; of course I chose purple. I used them more with my second quilt, to pin the squares to get the correct spacing before taking it to the machine. You use whatever pins you like, and after putting the pin in, you put the Pinmoor
on the end. You can baste a quilt this way, too, faster than safety pins. Simple on, simple off! And you won’t look like you were in the middle of a cat fight when you finish quilting!
The Pinmoors match the other favorite notion I used with this quilt, my beloved Purple Thang (89838)
. I used it to make the tucks in the squares as I skewed and attached them.
We’re happy to share my pattern with our fabric customers. After you purchase any fabric from us, email me
